Library Hours
The PCHS Library is open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including lunch time, for quiet study and reading or catching up on homework or otherwise by special arrangement.
Visitation Policy and Use
Students may visit before classes begin for the day.
Students may visit after classes end for the day until 3:30 p.m. or later if the librarian is present.
Students may visit during the instructional day with a note from their teacher. Visiting students must show the librarian their note upon entering the library. Students without a note will be asked to return to their classroom teacher.
Every class and teacher has the right to use the library. However, to ensure adequate space, teachers should make arrangements to have their class use the library a minimum of one day in advance to avoid conflicts with other classes. Teachers must stay with their class while in the library. A calendar at the doorway is used to note which teachers/classes are to use the library on any given day at any given period.
Teachers and students please be aware that Mrs. Powderly presently has classes in the library during 1st., 3rd. and 4th periods. Scheduling at these times may be problematic.
Meetings may be scheduled for the library by class officers, faculty, and administrators. At least one week's notice must be given and permission from the principal secured. Advisers and/or teachers must stay with their groups while in the library. Scheduling is subject to availability. General library use rules (below) must be adhered to.
