PCHS, located at 3201 Fairview Ave., has served the Mid-Ohio Valley since 1955, attracting students, not only from Parkersburg and the surrounding Wood County area, but also from cities in our neighboring state, Ohio. Some students also commute from other West Virginia counties: Ritchie and Wirt. PCHS currently enrolls 195 students in grades 7-12; students represent varying religious, intellectual and economic backgrounds with over 25% of students being non-Catholic, over 9% are needy, 9% require special academic consideration and a further 3% are ESL students. Faculty consists of certified and highly qualified educators also of varying religious backgrounds, 33% are non-Catholic. PCHS is a microcosm of what is offered in larger schools while maintaining a small school atmosphere and advantages of community, closed campus, parental involvement, and close supervision.
